What we did
You probably already have noticed something: the name is spelled wrong. Obviously Joyfull should be Joyful with only one ‘l’. When they noticed the mistake they decided to keep it and now it is a bit of a running joke. They are “full” of “joy” when the sing of course. The ladies sing light classical music and perform regularly on Goeree-Overflakkee (a Dutch delta island of the province of South Holland).
Joyfull Voices wanted a beautiful logo which really conveys who they are and what they do. Elegant and a feminine with a link to music. Birdie Design designed a logo which combines all these things. The logo consist of a g clef with a female face. A g clef has nice, elegant shapes which suits the ensemble.
We also designed a poster to promote their benefit concert for the Dutch charity Jasmijn in Actie. This concert was collaboration with Christian choir “Laudate Dominum”. Jasmijn in Actie tries to collect money for more research on SMA (spinal muscular atrophy) so they can find a cure.
The only requirement was that obviously all the information would be clearly readable. Christian and classical music have a slightly boring image so we thought it would be nice, also because Jasmijn is a young girl, that the poster design would be modern and fresh so it would stand out in between all the other concert posters. I choose the same colors as the “Prinses Beatrix Spierfonds” (a charity for dedicated to muscular disorders).
For MDRN HOME I designed a logo, webshop and flyers.
